Inter-generational Walk at Green Meadows, near the historic 7th Ave. District.
This month's neighborhood walk (Co-sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart and ECO) will be at Green Meadows Housing Development off of 7th Avenue. We will meet at the parking lot of the ball field on Robinson St. at 9:30 am (to avoid the heat!). At 10:00 am we will meet with a group of children from the Boys and Girls Club of Hendersonville. The walk will be about 1.5 miles, and will end up at the playground in Green Meadows. We encourage everyone to bring a grandchild, your neighbor's child (with permission!), or any child you think would enjoy a nice walk, a great playground, and some delicious watermelon. "You can be an inspiration to our younger generation by walking with them and showing them that it is never too late or early to start to excercise. We hope that you will make this a start of a new tradition older and younger people joining together to stay fit!" says walk leader Catherine Raymond. For more information, contact Catherine at 808-0030.
