Walk Sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, ECO and Diamond Brand Outdoors on January 4.
(Hendersonville, NC, 8/27/07) — Start off the New Year on the right foot! On Thursday, January 4, a guided walk will be held at the Blue Ridge Mall at 10:00 a.m.. Starting point will be the central court of the mall, near the book store. If the weather is fine, we'll walk the outside route, if gloomy and cold, we'll walk inside. We can even do a little warm-up stretching before we start. Aimed at senior citizens, but open to everyone, we invite you to come and help us spread the world about our walking program and let the mall walkers know that there's a whole walking world out there just waiting for them! The walk is approximately 1 mile, and should take about 45 minutes to an hour.
This walk is one of a series of monthly walks in the Hendersonville community co-sponsored by ECO and Walk Wise, Drive Smart. "I really want to connect with the seniors who walk in the mall and let them know about our program. I'd like to inform them about the other safe and gentle walking routes in our area and encourage them to come along on some of our walks sometime." says hike leader Sam Lovelace.
