Walk Sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors and ECO on August 8, 2008

(Hendersonville, 07/23/08) — On Thursday, August 7, a guided walk will be held at 8:30 a.m. Starting point is the Carolina Baptist Association parking lot, at the corner of Hebron and Willow, right off Kanuga Road in Hendersonville. The Walk Wise, Drive Smart project is considering the Hebron route as our next completed route, and we'd love to have some input from local walkers. We'll be starting early, to beat the heat, and the walk should take approximately 1 hour.

Aimed at senior citizens but open to everyone, we invite you to come join us for healthy exercise and lively conversation, and to tell us what you think about the Hebron route. Canceled in the event of severe weather.

"This neighborhood has lovely homes and gardens, gorgeous shade trees and meadows, and a great variety of routes, easily tailored to any walkers' tastes and pace. It's one of my favorites, and it's surprisingly close to downtown for a route with such pretty, wooded and wild places." Says hike leader Sam Lovelace.

This walk is one of a series of monthly walks in the Hendersonville community co-sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors and ECO.
