Walk Sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors and the Healthy Aging Coalition of Henderson County on Thursday, July 2, 2009.
(Hendersonville, 6/24/09) — On Thursday, July 2, the monthly Walk Wise walk will begin at the Sammy Williams Center for Active Living at 9 am and follow the Downtown Walking Loop. A little over two miles, the loop is one of several urban routes identified as a Safe Senior walking route which will be included in a walking guide being planned by Partnership for Health and other interested organizations. Walkers will meet in the center�s rear parking lot on Third Avenue West just past Justice Street at 9 am. Gary Eblen of Diamond Brand Outdoors will lead the moderate walk through several the downtown neighborhood. Aimed at older adults but open to everyone, we invite you to come enjoy the morning with us. Canceled in the event of rain.
This walk is one of a series of monthly walks which take place on the first Thursday of the month in the Hendersonville community co-sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors, and the Healthy Aging Coalition.
