Walk Sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors and the Healthy Aging Coalition of Henderson County on Thursday, May 7, 2009.

(Hendersonville, 5/1/09) —On Thursday, May 7th, a “Park to Park” walk will be held on the Oklawaha Greenway going from Patton Park to Jackson Park and back, a total of 4 miles .  Walkers will meet at the shelter by the footbridge in Patton Park at 9 am.  Participants have a choice of walking along the greenway for only 2 miles but will need to make arrangements for a ride from Jackson Park back to Patton.   Gary Eblen of Diamond Brand Outdoors will be leading the moderate walk along Mud Creek.   Aimed at senior citizens but open to everyone, we invite you to come enjoy the morning with us.  Canceled in the event of rain.

This walk is one of a series of monthly walks which take place on the first Thursday of the month in the Hendersonville community co-sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors, and the Healthy Aging Coalition.
