Hendersonville, 04/17/08 On Thursday, May 1, a guided walk will be held in the Green Meadows neighborhood at 10:00 am. Starting point is the parking area next to the Carolina Diner parking lot on N. Church St. in Hendersonville. We will be celebrating May Day with a long urban hike through this pretty neighborhood. Aimed at senior citizens but open to everyone, we invite you to come enjoy the spring morning and some healthy exercise with us. This walk will take approximately 1 hour. Canceled in the event of rain.
"One of the reasons I love this route is because when the weather is nice, there are often a lot of neighbors to say hi to, and I like the feeling of including a stretch of downtown — in this case, 7th avenue — in a hike!" says hike leader Sam Lovelace. This walk is one of a series of monthly walks in the Hendersonville community co-sponsored by and Walk Wise, Drive Smart, ECO and Diamond Brand Outdoors.
