Walk Sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors and the Healthy Aging Coalition on Thursday, April 2, 2009.
(Hendersonville, 3/27/09) — On Thursday, April 2, a "Park to Park" walk will be held on the Oklawaha Greenway starting at Patton Park at 9 AM and continuing to Jackson Park. At 10 am, the group will leave from the Jackson Park administrative parking lot and walk back to Patton. Participants have the option of walking along the greenway for only 2 miles, leaving at 9 am from Patton or 10 am from Jackson, or the total 4 miles from Patton Park and back. Folks doing only 2 miles will need to make arrangements to get shuttled to their point of origin. Gary Eblen of Diamond Brand Outdoors will be leading the moderate walk along Mud Creek. Aimed at senior citizens but open to everyone, we invite you to come enjoy the morning with us. Canceled in the event of rain.
This walk is one of a series of monthly walks which take place on the first Thursday of the month in the Hendersonville community co-sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors, and the Healthy Aging Coalition.
