Walk Sponsored by Walk Wise, Drive Smart, Diamond Brand Outdoors and ECO on March 6, 2008
(Hendersonville, 02/19/02) — On Thursday, March 6, a guided walk will be held at Osceola Lake at 1:00 pm. Starting point is the small unpaved lot across from the Coppercrest Inn on Osceola Road, off Willow. Rich Leppingwell, member of the Henderson County Bird club, will be leading the hike. Parking is limited, so Rich recommends meeting at the Fresh Market lot nearby and carpooling, if possible. Hike leader Sam Lovelace will be at the Fresh Market lot from 12:15 � 12:35 to guide newcomers to the route.
Aimed at senior citizens but open to everyone, we invite you to come learn more about the varieties of birds that share the lake, get some good exercise and enjoy the gorgeous scenery. The walk should take about an hour. Canceled in the event of rain, sleet or snow.
